Cannon has plenty of things to make fun of, old and new. His biggest contributor is his pregnant wife Mariah Carey who insists on providing him with the best punch lines about their married life. She often helps Cannon to come up with jokes about her.
“As long as she’s in on it, and not the butt of it, we’re good,” Cannon says. “She actually helped me come up with a lot of material so, I’m scot-free.”
Carey is due to give birth to twin boys and Cannon is ready for this incredible journey. It’s only a matter of time when new material about his life as a father will be added to his routine.
“Recently, we’ve been going nursery shopping and getting all of these books and advice from everybody. It’s overwhelming in a sense. But I feel like I’m prepared and ready for it all.”
See Cannon live at the Pearl Theater for one night only at 8 p.m. and 11 p.m.
