Another Sarah Palin? Maybe. What about Hilary Clinton? Could be. Those who have read the script of an upcoming political satire series “Veep” for HBO couldn’t quite place a finger to determine who exactly Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ character reminds them of.

The filming of a pilot will begin in late February in Baltimore. Dreyfus will play a fictional Vice President Selina Meyer, a former senator, “who finds that being vice president of the United States is nothing like she expected and everything everyone ever warned her about.”

According to Big Hollywood, characters like “sharp-tongued chief of staff,”  “a slobbish press secretary” and “the President, who is extremely unattractive and creepy, but hopes his role as a White House “big shot” will someday impress the chicks” are planned to dominate the small screen.

The state of Maryland will benefit financially if HBO picks up the pilot. The local officials are ready to greet the whole crew with open arms.

“Maryland has had a long and successful relationship with HBO,” said Gov. O’Malley in the statement. “We are pleased to welcome HBO back to our state for another first-class filming experience.”

Dreyfus is an American actress and comedian, mostly known for her roles of Elaine in a popular sitcom of 90s Seinfeld and Christine in New Adventures Of Old Christine.
